OUCH! Inflation sucks!

So, I had called Mike at Robbins to get a price quote for the matching wedding band to the ring that I picked out for my engagement ring. He returned my call and told me that the matching band, in Platinum (to match exactly to my ring) would cost me $2400.00!!! Now, I know how much the engagment ring costs as we got it at a super cheap price of (if I remember correctly) a little under $1,100.00. The wedding band SHOULD not cost more then the engagement ring.

So, I freaked. I should have ordered it when it was $800.00 a few months ago. Oh well. Hopefully the price of platinum will go down and I can get the matching wedding band for the ring. If not, I'm going to have to pick out a wedding band that will compliment the ring. Here's hoping I will find one that goes great with this ring.

Into other news, I'm starting to think that I should consider October 2010 for our wedding. I love both Spring and Fall. I figured May 2010 would be perfect...but seeing the changing leaves and the crisp cool (but somewhat warm) air, I want October....

AHHHH....I'm sure I'll figure it out when I get the ring and sit down with Pat to see what HE wants...

Here's to the beginning of something magical

I'm patiently waiting for the arrival of my ring. It's a Tacori Ring and I picked it out all by myself.

How do I know that I'll be getting it soon? Well, lets just say that while preparing the dirty laundry, I found a receipt from Robbins Diamonds that shows that it's almost completely paid for. I believe there is around a 47.00 balance.

Needless to say, based on the above information, I knew that it has/had been sent out for sizing at Tacori. Since I have such a small finger (4.25) they have to have Tacori size it.

I had spoken with Mike at Robbins about the matching wedding band, which is available to order, even though the rings are "discontinued." I had gotten a price for it, but did not go after it as I was waiting to see when I'd be getting the engagement ring first.

Well, now that I know that it's coming, I'm super excited. I'm going to call Robbins to see if Mike is in. I want an updated price for the wedding band so I can get it. I'm super excited
about it.
















Keep your fingers crossed for me. I hope the price for the wedding band isn't too much because I'll go nuts just trying to get it. :o)
